The effect of high-temperature nanoparticle-based modification on the structure of zinc oxide powders

Abstract The authors have studied the effect of solid-state nanoparticle-based modification on structure zinc oxide powders. To carry out experiment, seven types nanoparticles various oxides were applied. was performed by heating powder mixtures in air at 650°C for 2 hours. concentration nanopowders 10 wt.%, average grain size varied from to 80 nm. It established that high-temperature does not lead significant structural changes and cannot affect properties powder. While modifying powders, an increase photo- radiation stability can occur primarily because mechanisms associated with deposition surface micropowder. Due changes, certain (e.g., alumina sample under investigation) make a rather insignificant contribution optical when exposed radiation.
